Who says breaststroke cannot do triathlon?

"Živný completed his first Ironman at the age of 42 and finished with a time of 15 hours 8 minutes. Two years later, in 1985, he broke his all-time record and completed an Ironman with a time of 13:51.

Then came the Super Ironman in 1999. It wasn't an easy race. Not only did he fall from his bike before the race, knocking out a tooth and bruising his ribs, it also rained during much of the race."

"The race always starts out with swimming, which he considers the hardest. "I can only swim the breast stroke, and that makes me slow," he says. Živný regularly swims in lakes that are as cold as 15 degrees Celsius (59 degrees Fahrenheit)."

Steady liao lor! Learn freestyle for what? Just breaststroke all the way! Ok melvin was right lolz.

By the time I'm 45 years old, I wanna finish my first Ironman. Within the next 27 years, I'll gain experience in local tri-s and half Ironmans. After finishing my Ironman, I shall die a happy man.

I really can't imagine how these triathletes finish their first Ironman. Running a full marathon(42.195km) is painful enough, talk about a 3.8km swim and a 180km bike route prior to that. Damn, it must take a whole lot of mental power to get through that.

I guess it's what makes them wanna do it.

And one day I will. After I finish my full mar by the time I'm 21 and start earning real money. Check back here in 27 years, ya?

Lol I'm serious.

ROFL.
@ 22:17
Food poisoning's over. I'm back alive, fortunately. (or unfortunately) Went for a run instead of water PT to prepare for NB run on Saturday. Felt more alive than staying at home, doing nothing but shit, puke, sleep and repeat. Shall go swim tmr to try achieve my lifetime goal of attaining IRONMAN status. Hehe.

I guess this is just a short post for now. Will get back with a long one once I manage to get my neck over the ever piling load of tutorials to be done.

Just a short video to share.

It's nice if you understand the meaning.

Bye.

hello.

I can't remember the last time I ran up a mountain and down again (if I ever did it before), but I did that this morning. Finishing the 10.5km Mt Faber race in 62mins, I guess I could have done better if my knee didn't kill itself on the down slope.

My knee seems to be getting in the way of a lot of my runs.

Roy is really legend.

Next up, New Balance Real Run Club Terrain Run. 8.5km of terrain on nyjc's 30th anniversary. ahah I have half a mind to just run the race and go home to sleep.

Ok bye my chem tys calls my name.

It's going to be hard to try and say this without appearing to be a bitch, but I'm really fucked over the PW results.

I was damn confident my grp could get Band 1/A. After all, I really felt our OP was really good and the model really topped it off. I wasn't even thinking about anything else other than the A.

And now, after the fcuked PI, GPP, GPF, WR, the OP and the fucking model which costed our wallets over $100 and a hell lot of time, I had to settle for a B. And NYJC suck balls so much, only 3% got A. That's like a pathetic what, 30+ students?

For comparison, MJ and VJ had a 50%, HCI 80%. National average is 20%.

I think it's fucking stupid to say that getting B/C is really good cos everyone else did worse. That's true, but only in NY. Once out of the school gates nyjcians can all suck balls cos everyone else holds an A for PW. To me, saying that a B/C is good is just a way of comforting yourself. And let's not compare ourselves to schs like -- (0.8%) cos that's also just another way of making that B/C look good when in reality, it sucks.

I'm seriously doubting NY's ability. Honestly, 3% is fucking pathetic. NYJC is a 30 year old college, yielding a 3% A while MJC is a 5 year old college, yielding a 50% A rate. Either the number's supposed to symbolic, or else Kwek should really feel fucking ashamed for losing out to a JC 6 times as junior as NY is. At 3%, I guess it's pretty obvious its not the cohort that sucked. It's probably the teachers.

They said the PW committee's holding a evaluation to find out what went wrong. It's so ironic, the ppl spearheading the evaluation are precisely the ppl who lead us to this shit hole in the first place. Neither do I expect them to stand in front of us and admit they did smth wrong in the process. They'll prob say it's us or even better, just shut up, keep quiet and go. That's what they do best anyway.

It's not a matter of how impt the PW grade is. Nvm that a B/C is an average grade. The thing is, our input isn't matching the output. It's just fucked.

I'm trying not to bitch about this, but I am really fucked over the grades. And I don't think my grp did anything wrong. At least, we followed every instruction. And because the fucking ppl at the top (the ahem PW committee) made a mistake somewhere, we have to bear the consequences.

I think I've said this plenty, but this school really sucks.

Fuck this crap.

[Edit] I'll like to stress that my grp did way more to deserve Bs and Cs. Okay now go screw nanyang.

What's Linkin Park up to?

Linkin Park is currently in the studio mixing their new album, "Minutes To Midnight", which will be released on May 15 in the US (May 14 worldwide), the first single, 'What I've Done' is out now.

Uh! After a wait that lasted like forever, LP's finally back. I shall be camping at some CD store on 14th May.

I think the video's quite interesting. Not like their previous vidoes. And the song's awesome.

I got home at 2am last night after scaling Belumut. It's interesting that we took a longer time going up than down; the latter is supposed to be more tiring/dangerous. I prefer the later parts of the climbing, the initial only had me using my legs and higher up can use hands, more cool lol. Less tiring too.

We missed the turn around time by like, 1.5 hrs? We were supposed to turn around by 3pm but Mr Ong say just chiong, can one. So chiong lor. So in the end we got to the summit (fake crown rock, real crown rock, fake summit then real summit) and turned at 4.30pm for the descent. I was already preparing my torch lol.

The summit wasn't exactly impressive. The one I scaled in NZ was way better.

Got back to base at 7.30pm. No water. Heavy bag with stupid static rope inside. But it was quite cool trekking in the sub-dark though. Part of me was secretly hoping we couldn't make it back to base and had to make camp there HAHAHA.

Okay sorry.

Overall I just didn't like the rush during the descent. High probability of injuries. Would have been much better if customs didn't screw up the schedule. Ong suddenly wanted the reins to be handed to J1s so Ming Jie was in charge instead of Adam. And lol, he kept going DOUBLE UP DOUBLE UP lolol. I think some ppl behind we quite pissed. Lol I was quite surprised that MJ was suddenly in charge. But we still made it down in time. Damn.

My damn knee cranked up during the climb again. Sometime during the ascend I felt the same pain I felt while I was training for the marathon. And I thought to myself, damn, this shit is back. And damn, it was there to stay. All the way up the pain was there, esp for the climb up the crown rock cos I did a flying jump up the rock and hit my knee zzzz. The descend killed my knee more cos I had to jump down and down and landing on a injured knee isn't exactly a great feeling.

Stupid crap. Mizuno Run in 2 weeks. I hope my knee heals in 2 days.

Shall upload pictures when I get them. For now, I shall go mug slack/rest.

Hopefully.

Hoho sports carnival was okay, I just think the logistics sucked quite a bit.

Frisbee was ... cos I was still eating breakfast at bedok while the rest were playing.

Db was ownage cos we owned the other 3 boats by like, a boat or more? Probably more by brute strength than skill. Lol.

Run was damn good (actually it was more of like a small portion of the run) because...

well it was just good.

Hehe.

I've been banned from nigth cycling by my parents cos of my wonderful results. I guess that more of a good thing than a bad one cos now I can study and focus on the Mt Faber run. Lol.

Ok nothing else to say. Must do econs, cannot make Jeeva sad.

Bye.
