why? WHY? WHY?

Why didn't I go for the FREE Running Fit seminar? The National Library was such a good place to be on a(that) Saturday evening! Why did I choose to go school and study instead? WHY?

Life is so cruel.

Probably no one, with the exception of Lester(wow!) knows what I'm talking about. Lol.

WHY?

Excuse me while I go slap myself.

Participant of Singapore Bay Run dies at end of 21km run
By Susheel Kaur and Foo Siew Shyan, Channel NewsAsia | Posted: 26 August 2007 1622 hrs

SINGAPORE: A participant of the Singapore Bay Run, also known as the SAFRA Sheares Bridge Run & Army Half Marathon, collapsed and died on Sunday morning.

25-year-old Captain Ho Si Qiu, a platoon commander at the Singapore Armed Forces Officer Cadet School, collapsed at 7am at the end of his 21-kilometre run.

Off the record, people have got to stop killing themselves while running, swimming, biking etc etc. It's bad for the sport.

On a more serious note, this is pretty scary. First it was TC, then now this guy. And both were supposedly fit guys. (I'm not questioning their fitness by putting 'supposedly') I am considering making plans in case I drop dead on any of my runs.

Condolences to CPT Ho's family and friends. This is the second shock this year in Singapore's sporting fraternity. Lagi best Aviva happen again. Then jialat liao.

Click lah
For the peanuts the tax-payers pay them, I guess that's the least they could do.

My legs hurt. This happens when you do a long run that you thought you could handle but in actual fact, can't. Lol.

5 days to Prelims! (Okay lah actually it's more. But prepare mah.)

I think I am obsessed.

Haha!

I'm still alive, I'm surprised. But I doubt I will be for long when the full exam stress sets it. I woke up at 2am last night sleeping at my table when the last thing I remembered was going for a nap on the bed at 12.

Waha, school has been been so good.

Ytd was a great day. =D

Today when the news came that Gopal (my GP teacher) was absent, a million thoughts ran through my mind but only one registered. Since she wasn't here, so her lesson from 1.30 - 3 was done for. And before that I have a 2hr break. And that means, I end school at...

11.30.

Amazing. I actually had time to go home for lunch, nap, slack, do loads of shit before the time came to study. I cannot remember how that feels like. All I remember is going home at the 7pm show started already. -_-

But in any case I stayed in school till 1.30 and left home, went for a run at 3.30. Broke-through, did from Boon Keng to SRJC and back. Totalled 12.57K in 1hr 5 mins. Not too bad, I think I can hit sub-2hr for 21K in Dec. =D

School was been messed up, except for small sections of canteen breaks. Lol.

Had a small unexpected talk with Ivay (my CT- I found out many Singaporean students call their teachers by names instead of Mr/Ms) and I think what she said made a lot of sense and kinda made me made up my mind. Why settle for the not-so-good? I realised in terms of academics, I've always made it touch-and-go, pass can liao. Why aim for ABB?

I'm going to get AAA.

I can't wait for school to end. There are so many things to do outside. Drive, swim, bike, run, work, earn money, run a half marathon, run a full marathon, run an ultra-marathon, do an Ironman, earn money blah blah blah but we're stuck here doing things we don't want to do but absolutely have to. (read as 'forced to') Newton's laws makes no sense and no, I don't wish to be listening to a teacher for 2 freaking hours a week who has given up on the class.

"During the Sydney Olympics Kenyan long-distance runner Kip Lagat was asked why his country produced so many great runners. "It's the road signs," he replied. "'Beware of lions'!" "

Lol!

So, life is boring, unfair, boring, mundane and probably unnecessary. At least looking at this and this makes me feel like there's smth worth working towards to. (at least for a while lah)

I just found out the legal driving age is still 18. I'm going to storm ubi right after my As to sign up for a driving course. After that, screw you SBS.

Cheers.

Oh, happy birthday Singapore. I thought you'd like to know that other than the parade and the army display, the rest of NDP 2007 was kinda crappy. I would have preferred Rush Hour 3.
